Anhui University of Finance and Economics was founded in 1959 in Hefei. The university is jointly supported by the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives and the People’s Government of Anhui Province, and is recognized as a key high-level specialized university in Anhui Province.
Currently, the university has two campuses — the East and West Longhu Campuses in Bengbu, as well as a Higher Research Institute in Hefei. The total campus area exceeds 1,450 mu (approximately 96 hectares), with a total building area of about 750,000 square meters.
In 1981, the university was authorized to confer bachelor's degrees, in 1986 master's degrees, and in 2024 doctoral degrees, forming a complete talent cultivation system covering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs.
The university offers programs in eight major academic disciplines:
Economics, Management, Law, Humanities, Natural Sciences, Engineering, Arts, and Education.
According to the 2024 “Best Subjects in China” ranking (Soft Science Ranking):
Applied Economics and Statistics rank in the top 20% nationwide;
Business Administration ranks in the top 30% nationwide.
According to the U.S. News Best Global Universities Ranking (2025–2026), the university ranks 2nd among finance and economics universities in China.
In the “Best Chinese Universities” ranking (Soft Science Ranking), it ranks 17th among more than 60 specialized finance and economics universities nationwide.

On-Campus Accommodation
The campus offers modern student dormitories equipped with air conditioning and internet access. The dormitories feature kitchens and study areas, creating a comfortable living and studying environment.
Students who are not allocated places in dormitories may consider off-campus options, including apartments located close to the university. Some of these options provide cleaning services and furnishings.
