Beijing Chinese Language and Culture College (BCLCC, 北京华文学院) was founded in 1950 under the leadership of He Xiangning and Liao Chengzhi with the support of Premier Zhou Enlai. Today it is a specialised institution of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee that teaches Chinese language and culture to overseas Chinese and international students.

Fuwai Campus

No. 39 Fuchengmenwai Street, Xicheng District, in central Beijing, about 5 km from Tiananmen Square. The historic campus of the college.

Changping Campus

No. 69 Qibei Road, Changping District. Opened in March 2013, it covers nearly 15 hectares with about 70,000 m² of buildings, combining green spaces with buildings in a blend of Chinese and Western styles. It has five student apartment buildings.

Together the two campuses can host about 2,000 students.

Student dormitories

Good to know

• the Changping Campus has five apartment buildings with single, standard and quadruple rooms, laundry rooms and drinking water stations;

• men's and women's dormitories are separate;

• bedding costs CNY 320; meals are paid by students themselves;

• on-campus places are limited, so applying early is recommended.
