Capital Medical University (CCMU) is a public medical university in Beijing, jointly supported by the Beijing Municipal Government, the National Health Commission and the Ministry of Education. It trains doctors, dentists, pharmacists, nurses and other health professionals at bachelor's, master's and doctoral level, with clinical training in major Beijing hospitals such as Xuanwu Hospital, Beijing Friendship Hospital, Beijing Tongren Hospital and Beijing Jishuitan Hospital. In the 2026 ShanghaiRanking list of Chinese medical universities CCMU ranks second in China, for the eighth year in a row.

Clinical training and graduate research take place in CCMU's affiliated hospitals, including Xuanwu Hospital (the First Clinical Medical College), Beijing Friendship Hospital, Beijing Tongren Hospital, Beijing Jishuitan Hospital and Beijing Rehabilitation Hospital.
International students can live on or off campus. On-campus rooms are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
