Founded in 1951, Changchun Institute of Technology (CIT) is an accredited multi-disciplinary college with engineering as its core. CIT is affiliated with the People's Government of Jilin Province.
CIT was formerly known as Changchun Architectural Advanced Vocational School, Changchun Technology Advanced Vocational School, and Changchun Water Conservancy & Electric Power College. For nearly 50 years these three schools were associated with the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Corporation, the Metallurgical Industrial Ministry, and the Water Conservancy Ministry. At the beginning of 2000 – with the approval of the Ministry of Education – the three colleges merged to form Changchun Institute of Technology.

Accommodation Conditions and Expenses
CIT is located by the beautiful South Lake, surrounded by hospitals, banks, large shopping malls, supermarkets, fitness and entertainment places, with perfect supporting functions.
The International Students Apartment Building is located in Hudong Campus. There are dormitories with double rooms, three-bed rooms and four-bed rooms in different specifications and conditions. The apartment building is equipped with public kitchens, public reading areas and public self-study rooms, with air conditioning, refrigerators, washing machines and other equipment. There is a halal catering window on the campus, which provides all kinds of delicious food for students all day.
Accommodation fees:
Double room (independent bathroom, air conditioner) — 5,000 RMB/year; with scholarship — 2,000 RMB/year.
Three-bed room (shared bathroom, air conditioner) — 4,000 RMB/year; with scholarship — 1,500 RMB/year.
Four-bed room (shared bathroom, air conditioner) — 3,000 RMB/year; with scholarship — 1,200 RMB/year.
Other Expenses:
Book fee — 400 RMB/year (overpayment refunded, shortage charged), cash payment.
Bedding fee — 500 RMB, cash payment.
Medical examination fee — 450 RMB/year, cash payment.
Residence permit fee (visa fee) — 400 RMB/year, paid by Chinese bank card.
Insurance premium — 800 RMB/year, cash payment.
Note: The International Students Apartment Building is equipped with network broadband interfaces. Broadband and telephone fees are borne by the students themselves, water and electricity fees are borne by the students themselves, and expenses for experiments, internships, visits, and tourism outside the teaching plan are borne by the students themselves.
